Our Dunkley Places
Dunkley is a place of rare natural beauty, where farm and native bushland meet with our wonderful Port Phillip Bay. The electorate’s key centres of Frankston and Mornington are two of Victoria’s premier waterside locations and are truly desirable places to live or visit. Main Street Mornington, leading down to the pier and marina, has a wonderful village feel with an array of high quality cafes, restaurants, hotels and other eateries as well as an appealing mix of retailers.
Meanwhile, Frankston is being truly transformed, with the bay being recognised and incorporated as its key natural asset. Some amazing things have happened on the main foreshore area, including beautification works and exciting infrastructure additions such as the new Sofia restaurant near the pier, Waves restaurant and lifesaving club, as well as the feature bridge over Kananook Creek. The $500,000 Frankston Visitor Information Centre officially opened in March after the Federal Government provided $264,000 towards the project.
Welcoming all visitors
Dunkley is certainly a place we should be telling visitors about and urging them to come, play and stay more than a day. For further information about all the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula areas have to offer visit: www.travelvictoria.com.au/regions/morningtonpeninsula
Dunkley neighbourhoods
Regular neighbourhood visits are an important part of Bruce's schedule and he will soon chalk up his 100th neighbourhood visit. He finds them an effective way of connecting with the community and learning about the hot issues unique to each area of the electorate. Next time you see him set up in your area, drop by and say hello.
